Osprey Video to Showcase Simplified Cloud Video Connectivity with AWS at IBC2026
Live demonstration at the AWS stand will show how device discovery and cloud-based management can simplify professional video contribution and distribution workflows
Osprey Video today announced that it will demonstrate new device discovery and management capabilities built with Amazon Web Services (AWS) at IBC2026, September 11–14 at the RAI Amsterdam.
The demonstration, located at the AWS stand, Hall 5, Stand 5.C90, will feature Osprey Video Talon encoders and decoders connected with AWS Elemental MediaConnect, showing how professional video devices can be discovered, configured, monitored, and connected through a simplified cloud-based workflow.
The technology is based on the Video Services Forum (VSF) TR-12 Client Device Discovery Technical Recommendation, which establishes a standardized approach for connecting and managing edge devices with cloud services.
Traditional live video workflows can require operators at multiple locations to coordinate IP addresses, firewall settings, security credentials, device configuration, and transport parameters before establishing a connection. The demonstration will show an alternative approach in which compatible devices can be securely paired and made available for remote management and connection.
Attendees will see an end-to-end workflow using Osprey Talon encoders and decoders, including device pairing, configuration, monitoring, and the establishment of live video transport connections using AWS Elemental MediaConnect.
Osprey Video plans to bring these capabilities to its customers through its Osprey Connect initiative, extending cloud-based discovery and management across its Talon encoding and decoding portfolio.
“Moving live video over IP has become increasingly straightforward, but configuring and connecting devices at the edge can still require significant manual coordination,” said Scott Whitcomb, Chief Revenue Officer at Osprey Video. “Our work around device discovery is focused on simplifying that process. At IBC, attendees will be able to see how Osprey encoders and decoders can be quickly discovered, configured, and connected using AWS services, helping reduce the complexity of setting up live video workflows.”
